Mechanical Engineering

From the idea of a product to its realization… A land, sea, air or space vehicle, an operating table, a machine tool, a handling system, a wind turbine, a turbomachine, a powertrain… are all mechanical systems whose performance depends directly on the skills of those who designed them.

The digitization of tomorrow’s factory represents a major revolution in industrial manufacturing. By combining technological advances such as artificial intelligence (AI) and automation, advanced robotics, the factories of the future are able to achieve new levels of efficiency, flexibility and sustainability.

Big Data, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science are all about storing, analyzing and visualizing data, adding value to it and extracting knowledge from it. The training program, balanced between computer science and statistics, trains engineers capable of meeting these new needs.

Building and civil engineering is a very important sector of activity, both in France and worldwide. Civil engineering engineers fit naturally into this industry, in particular thanks to their dual skills in geotechnics and civil engineering: this specificity, recognized by the profession, makes them a major player in operations linked to the production of civil engineering structures, in both the design and construction phases.

This engineering science is largely multi-disciplinary and concerns many sectors of human activity, including practically all industrial sectors, but also research and analysis laboratories, for the environment or health, for example.

The aim of the “Internet of Things and Cybersecurity” specialization is to develop the Internet of Things and embedded systems, in particular by securing data and transmissions and developing energy efficiency. Embedded systems can be found in both industrial and domestic environments.

The Biological and Food Engineering specialization trains multi-skilled engineers for the agri-food sector (France’s leading business sector) and other sectors linked to the bioeconomy (biotechnologies, cosmetics, environment) and mass retailing.

Materials engineers can be found in all branches of industry, and their skills are needed as soon as an object is designed and produced. These skills are essential if we are to meet the challenges of sustainable development.
