Les matériaux sont au cœur de toutes les activités et révolutions industrielles, de la métallurgie jusqu’aux nanomatériaux et nanotechnologies, en passant par la microélectronique, les matières plastiques et composites.

La spécialité Matériaux forme des ingénieurs connaissant les grandes classes de matériaux, avec des compétences orientées vers l’élaboration de nouveaux matériaux, la caractérisation, le choix et la mise en œuvre des matériaux, ainsi que vers les aspects qualité et environnementaux

Stages

Tout au long de leur cursus, les élèves ingénieurs doivent effectuer des stages en France ou à l’étranger. Leur durée dépend de l’année de l’étudiant en cycle ingénieur.

IAE Lille : Master 2 Management des Entreprises Technologiques et Industrielles

Ce cursus, se déroulant sur 18 mois, vise à offrir aux élèves ingénieurs en dernière année une formation complète au management stratégique et opérationnel.

Université de Lille – Faculté de Pharmacie : Master 2 Dispositifs Médicaux et Biomatériaux

Ingénieur international en soudage

A l’obtention de son diplôme, l’ingénieur Matériaux peut poursuivre à l’école avec la préparation (un an, en alternance) d’un diplôme de coordinateur international en soudage (diplôme universitaire – Certification IWE – Ingénieur international en soudage)

Contrat d'apprentissage

L’élève ingénieur sous statut étudiant a aussi la possibilité d’effectuer sa 5e année en contrat d’apprentissage.
